Well, Hell is indeed a Bad Place To Be, so we move on.

DQ: What covers have you heard of any of these songs?

Tried to vote off Rosie again. I hope I'm wrong but I think Problem Child will be gone by tomorrow- in spite of the virtuosic shaker playing that elevates it to a head bobbing, foot tapping, speeding freight-train of a song.

    Problem Child

I posted a version of “Overdose” by Exodus earlier. Seems like there was a cover of “Problem Child” I heard, too. Buckcherry maybe? Then, of course, there’s (I think) a couple of these on Mark Kozelek’s What’s Next To The Moon (but sound nothing like the originals).

Edit: wait. These three that are left. Not sure.

Rosie. I love it but I love the others more.

covers - can't think of any studio/officially released versions so these are all live but - Guns N' Roses have been doing 'Rosie 'forever, and I've *heard Foo Fighters do 'Let There Be Rock' and Soundgarden do 'Problem Child.'

    *on youtube, not in person.

I'm voting off Rosie. Good song but the title cut and Problem Child are EPIC.

I'm playing Rosie at a gig tomorrow. A slow boogie version with keys and harp. Hope I can remember the arrangement :)

    "Problem Child"

Like Holy Diver, I don't think I've heard any cover versions from this album. Actually, I'm kinda hard pressed at the moment to think of hearing any AC/DC covers at all beyond my old band in high school playing "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" on occasion...

Problem Child does not even belong on LTBR. It is a track from DDDDC.

There was a rock/pop music television programme in Finland called Rockstop in the late 80s that used a Finnish language version of Let There Be Rock as the theme song, sung by the hostess of the show, Heli Nevakare. I'd love to share it with you lot but sadly couldn't find it on the Tube. There are episodes here but I don't know if they're available in other countries.

Other than that, thrash band Onslaught released LTBR twice with two different singers, in 1987 and 1989. They also named one of their own songs "Let There Be Death". Guns n' Roses covering Rosie was already mentioned but I'll add that they released a live version on the B-side of their 1987 UK single (and 12 inch) Welcome to the Jungle.

I'll have to vote for the title track.
