The heroes meet their end as the Fire is extinguished.

DQ: Where do you rank this in Judas Priest’s discography?

    R1: Heroes End
    R2: Fire Burns Below

Beyond the realms of death... okay.. I know.. but I don’t rate it as high as I used to.

I’d rate it second behind “sad wings of destiny”

I'm not fully familiar with the Judas Priest discography, but I'd currently rank Stained Class in my top three, along with Sad Wings of Destiny and Screaming For Vengeance.

Ranks among their top three for me with Sad Wings Of Destiny and Sin After Sin. Les Binks!
Beyond The Realms Of Death is beyond epic.

I went with "Invader" and "White Head, Red Hot." I like both, but neither are absolute favorites.

I rank Stained Class as Judas Priest's absolute best album. I think it's probably their most consistent and cohesive release; the compositions are incredibly strong throughout. (Second and third place would probably go to Sad Wings and British Steel, respectively.)

Plus, I think this album was hugely influential for the NWOBHM bands. You can tell bands like Iron Maiden studied this album inside and out.

Wow - I missed round 1. Snooze you lose.

    In for Round 2; Invader

But dang this is solid album from start to finish.

It's in the top 3 for me, heck top 2....Sad Wings, Stained Class....sometimes it's the other way around.

Though I couldn’t vote, I will weigh in on the DQ. To my way of thinking, this is their best album with Killing Machine coming in right behind it.

    Probably top five ....
They have some really solid albums.
Sad wings, sin after sin, point of entry (always seems ignored), screaming for vengeance, defenders of the faith ... i even enjoyed some later ones

I don't rate this album that highly, actually. Unleashed... was my starting point, and a lot of that is from Sad Wings Of Destiny. That's also a bit more stretched out and "epic", I think, as is Sin After Sin.

For shorter, a bit more polished style, I much prefer British Steel or Killing Machine.

So this one feels somewhere in between.

I don't like Rocka Rolla, and I don't like any full albums after British Steel, just occasional tracks here and there. Seems like we fell out with them here in the UK just as you were falling in with them in the US, i.e. the 80's, MTV era.
