My favorite and first KISS record. Mom and sis went to the store and brought this album home for me. It was my first real rock album besides hand me downs and stuff other people had given/bought for me which was mostly pop.

It blew my mind, I still love it and still love the production. It's a great rock and roll album and I still believe that to this day but if a song has to go I would choose Love Em and Leave Em first. Ace kills the solo and I don't really think it's that bad of a song but it is the weakest, IMO.

EDIT: Oh, you want two....Ok, second choice is See You....

Again, I enjoy both of these songs but the rest are soo strong.

“Calling Dr. Love” is my favorite KISS song, period.

First KISS album I ever heard, at one of my best friends house. Still my favorite.

That intro into I Want You and I was hooked.

My least favorite original line-up album and the last I bought of the original six. “Love Em” and “See You” are obvious early picks for me. “Baby Driver” will probably be one to get the ax though.

Wow! Great poll! It is hard to pick any weak links on this one. I went with Hard Luck Woman (it never really clicked with me), and Ladies Room (It had the potential to be SOOO much stronger). Baby Driver and Love Em, Leave Em are my top 2, but I don't expect either to make it till the end...

This is your favorite KISS album and the first song you kill is one of its most essential tracks? :yikes:

It IS my favorite Kiss album, but I've never gotten the love for that track. Just seems like it was created as a persona for Gene, but I don't think its a great song at all.

DQ: I can't remember exactly when I got this. Christmas '77 maybe or sometime in '78. I love this album it's probably my second favorite after Dressed To Kill.

Picked it up when it was first released. Ace's solo is killer.

This was the 2nd to last one I bought of the original 6. Got into KISS in ‘78 but didn’t get this till 1982 when I updated all my records (found a stash of excellent condition vinyls with all the inserts cheap - KISS stock was low in ‘82).
Anyway I had heard it years before at a friend’s house and I marveled at hiw different Dr. Love and Ladies Room sounded from their versions on Alive II.
This is their most straight ahead, no frills rock and roll album. Quite a departure from Destroyer; nevertheless both of those albums represent for me the quintessential KISS.

I went with Hard Luck Woman and Mr. Speed. Gonna get hard to pick ones that have to go here very soon.

King Buzzo of the Melvins famously has the circular sticker of the album's fantastic cover art (included as an insert with the album's original pressing) on his guitar. It is truly iconic.

When I was around 11 years old in 1981, me and a childhood friend went to see AC/DC at the Boston Garden (it was during the For Those About To Rock tour.) We were there with my friend's dad and his then current girlfriend. On the way back from the concert, we listened to an 8-track cartridge of KISS' Rock And Roll Over. For those about to, have done so, and continue to rock indeed.

Good album, but like most Kiss records (except perhaps Destroyer and Alive!), there is at least one or two (or three or more) filler tracks. This album is no exception.

Baby Driver, Love Em and Leave Em and See You in Your Dreams are pretty dreadful, the rest of the tracks are some of Kiss' finest moments (I Want You, Take Me, Makin' Love, Mr Speed).

I voted for Baby Driver and See You In Your Dreams.

I rediscovered this album when going through a massive Kiss phase about 5 years ago. Knew it reasonably well way from back in the late-70s.

I kept mine intact and still have it.
One thing I regret is peeling the Kiss Army sticker from The Originals an sticking it inside of my middle school locker.

Making Love is my pick, just too redundant.
