DQ: Which songs off this album have you heard live?

 

I know i've seen him perform sometime it snows in april & of course KISS ....

My votes to go are New position & Kiss

 

I Wonder U and Mountains

DQ:Unfortunately, I never saw Prince live.

 

Was able to see him three times, but he only played Sometimes in Snows in April at a 2004 show in DC on the Musicology tour.

DQ: Unfortunately, I never got to see Prince.

 

I only first saw Prince live in 2007 (at one of his 21 concerts at the O2). Over the years I heard a few Prince songs from Parade. Those are Kiss, Mountains, Sometimes It Snows In April and Venus De Milo (!). At my favourite Prince concert Mountains was played with Seal on vocal, though at the end Prince took over vocal duties to show who was the royalty. Great times...

 

Saw Prince 20-ish times from 1984-2015.

Looking at setlists, apparently I heard:

"Kiss"
"Girls and Boys"
"Venus de Milo"
"Sometimes It Snows in April"
"Mountains"

 

It was awesome, of course, but an at an arena, so it wasn’t intimate or mind-blowing.i I was fortunate enough to be in the second row at a show in Denver in 97, which was obviously far, far superior!

 

New Position and I Wonder U

Never saw Prince.

 

Wow, you not only saw the man, but saw him in two very different settings, I envy you.

 

I Wonder U and Under the Cherry Moon

I've saw Prince live 6 times (L.A.). Over the years I've heard Kiss, Mountains, Sometimes It Snows In April, Boys and Girls and Venus De Milo live.

 

I picked “I Wonder U” and “Under the Cherry Moon,” but I can’t believe “New Position” is exiting here too. Talk about a second-side-is-better album...

DQ: The one time I saw Prince live, in 1994, he didn’t perform any of his old material—just new songs.

 

I do agree the second side is better, but the short tunes definitely have their charm.

 

I'm bummed that "I Wonder U" got voted off the island. I love the strings and winds on that song.

The only time I saw him live was in 1986 not long after Parade was released, it looks like he played most of the record. It was a great show!

Prince Setlist at Madison Square Garden, New York

 

I saw Prince mainly in arenas, but I also saw him in smallish theaters (Warner in DC) and clubs (Electric Factory in Philly).

Enjoyed the arena shows more than the small ones!

 

Musicman - could please leave a space between characters like a : and Prince? It makes finding stuff with searches more easier. I kept doing a search for "Prince Weakest" and wasn't finding anything as these don't come up with you have "linkrince" as one word. Just a request, please.
