Yes. I have no idea why, but it appears to be the only one in that Half-Speed Mastered series to have sold out.

Dude, if you don't like it, you could sell it for a Benji in a day, easy. It's worth a lot of money and there are very few copies in the US.

This one is still not up on Amazon US when I checked an hour or so ago. I'm seeing a similar pattern, except that the UK Amazon price is reasonable, not a money-losing disaster like Live at Leeds was.

This Dude has learned to abide. I have no interest in selling it. I was disappointed as was looking forward to a vinyl release of this for some 20 years and they went and remixed it. Unnecessarily in my book. YMMV.

So stoked on this release! I can't wait to hear the rest of Relax.

To me, this gig just SOUNDS different than the '69 shows. Pete was still using a strat, and for this tour he was playing through American Sunn gear. Nothing like the SG and Sound City/Hiwatt sound that defined '69-'72.

I wonder if this will only be released in the UK for RSD? Like the Quad soundtrack from last year.

How many 70 year olds have good hearing? I'm 52 and my hearing is going.

I'm curious to hear how the drums will sound? Except for the vocal mike, Keith's drums were still unmiked at this time.

It was a great weekend of shows. I was at the Friday show and the band was on fire; Pete was jumping', Roger was swinnin', Moonie was poundin' and poundin' and The Ox's fingers were flyin' and the light show was exceptionally psychotropic and psychedelisized that night... the oils were globulating particularly groovily that night. It was a lot of the regular crowd... that's how it was back then. I didn't have a ticket for the Saturday show; I can't remember why; but back then it was an unusual occurrence that I wouldn't get tickets for all the shows. Particularly for a band like The Who... one of my main inspirers (as Nils Lofgrin might have put it). In those days music was uniformly great; often revelatory and occasionally revolutionary... and tickets were cheap... that's how it was back then. As I'm walking out after the Friday show a guy turns to me... a guy I'd never seen... but with the passing of time I did think I knew him from: either The Fillmore, The Line (The Bottom Line); maybe Max's... Banana Fish Park? that's how it was back then. "You want a ticket for tomorrow, my girl's having a kid and she just about kicked my ass that I came tonight". I said she was probably pissed not that you made it but that she couldn't. "No she was pissed I wasn't with her". "Here take it man; dig the show... you'll be sitting next to this guy". Some guy turned around towards me and flashed me a peace sign that morphed into a thumb's up... that's what we did back then and I asked if he was a buddy of the man of the hour; the man of groovy generosity... a long haired; tuned in Michael Anthony if you will. "No man! The cat's just cool and flipped me an extra, see you mañana ". That's the way it was back then.

Not having anything to do with anything... I'm listening to Rory Gallagher's Irish Tour right now with Jack Bruce's Jet Set Jewel up next... that's how it is these days. Same as it ever was.

That's what I figured. I wonder how much of an improvement they'll be, because I never liked how they sounded on the boot.

Hopefully the fact that it’s from tape and not acetate will offset any mixing problems.

I'm curious whether the problem with the drum sound on the boot is a mixing issue or a problem with the way the drums were recorded.

You can see the kit was miced for recording, the new release will hopefully have a full drum sound.

Linda Eastman, you photographing genius! You wonder how the kid did it when they weren't being recorded? Trying to be compete with John’s two Sunn 200s bass amps with four speaker cabinets and Pete's two Sound City stacks! :faint:

I'm just glad the show is seeing release, and presumably in improved sound. The boot paints a great picture of the band.
