The worst commercial for a mall, ever!

"Okay, so we have to do a commercial for our mall"

"But we don't have any money"

"That's okay, I've got this all figured out!"




If I had to see this ad in heavy rotation, I'd probably shoot my TV like Elvis did.

 

Save a bullet for this one! We were seeing the frequently a few years ago.

 

This thread just gave me a $1,000,000 dollar marketing idea (of which I'll take 10% of).

Since Nascar is so damned popular in the U.S., I feel that every mall in America should use the following video for it's advertising, as it would bring thousands of customers back to the malls, thus giving shoppers the feeling like they are a part of the race!

 

The New Yorker had an article a few years ago about violence erupting in Canada over cash for gold. I wonder if Oliver was involved.

I'd never go to that woman who "sings" "haircuts", though - if she thinks her own hair looks good, she's not touching mine!

 

The mall's marketing manager probably uploaded it herself.

 

You know the old logic exercise that goes, "You walk into a barber shop that employs two barbers. One has an awful hair cut, the other a great one. Who do you choose to cut your hair?"

You pick the one with the bad hair cut. The assumption is that they cut each other's hair, so the one with the bad cut is actually the better barber.

 

This is why nobody should try to make their own commercials, nor should a store owner try to be his own spokesman. It winds up looking like amateurish crap. I'd always, always much rather see professional crap made by experts.

 

No, they were other cash for gold businesses - one of the parties was an old employee of Oliver's who started his own business.

 

Well, after suffering through those, how about a little palate cleansing from one of our local legends?

 

They spent all their budget getting Miley Cyrus for the "backpack rap" segment and didn't have any money left.

 

I feel that "The Blues Brothers" Clip is probably the best way to advertise a mall.
