Instant buy for me. CTTE in Wilson's treatment was a great purchase. I am talking of the Blu edition of course.

Great news indeed should this be 100% confirmed.

It's down to personal taste of course but I had secretly wished for Relayer over GFTO.

However, all good things come to those who wait so who knows what further audio treats SW has in store for us as the year progresses........

Put Yes and Steven Wilson together and you have a must-buy. :)

Hope they get the mastering right. Both the Steve Wilson DVD-As I own have major problems on both of my DVD-Audio players.

Really hope Steven will include the original album remastered on CD

For 'Close To The Edge' he only included it on DVD/Blu Ray, which didn't bother me, since our host delivered the goods anyway

But for this one, the 'Audiophile' MFSL version is over-compressed by audiophile standards. So, I'd really like to see the remastered audio included on CD

Pretty sure it will follow the same format as Close to the Edge. Remixed stereo plus bonus tracks on the CD and a surround mix/remixed stereo on the DVD-A/Blu-ray. The Blu-ray will most likely also have a flat transfer of the original mix (probably the same hi-res transfer as the one on HDTracks.com).

This is awesome! I love the fact that YES is finally getting the treatment that they deserve! High resolution mixes, remastered, and on various formats, that support the effort. After all these years, I guess I finally need to retire my CD's and start spending some SACD and Blu-Ray YES money!

Great news. I was hoping he would do this next. I do not own a version on CD that I would call great sounding. His will sound great.

Hope we get more than two Yes titles per year though.

I'm in too. Apparently Rhino found some Yes Album alternate takes in the vaults too late for inclusion on their remaster. Those will likely make their debut here.

I just received this email from Burning Shed:

The Yes Album is the second in a series of remixed and expanded Yes albums.

We have the cd/dvda and cd/blu-ray editions.

Both versions come with a booklet featuring new sleeve notes by Sid Smith, along with rare photos and archive material.

The album has been mixed for 5.1 Surround Sound from the original studio masters by Steven Wilson and is fully approved by Yes.

The CD features a completely new stereo album mix by Steven Wilson, a studio version of Clap and an extended version of A Venture.

The blu-ray is presented in a vinyl replica cover and the dvda is presented in a double digi-pack. Both contain an alternate version of The Yes Album drawn from live tracks, singles edits and an extended mix.

    Pre-order for April 14th release.

Have pre-ordered the DVD-Audio and the BluRay, don't have a BluRay player, but maybe someday.

I have the capability to play BluRay and DVD-a with my Oppo, but only want to purchase one. What's the difference?

No myth, it is definitely more compressed than other versions.
