I'm really digging this swiss industrial band lately. So far I have 3 albums — Play Kurt Weill, T.V. Sky and Only Heaven — all of which are equally good.
    Any fans? More recommendations?

First two albums. The second one, "L'Eau Rouge" is my favourite.

I'm a huge fan of the first EP, but it's the only thing I've heard!

I made a thread here about them that sunk like a stone awhile back.

Get all their albums ( seriously ). Great band & one of my very favorites.

The one I've been coming back to since 1992 is "TV Sky", I really love this album because it has the sound of a rock record but you instinctivly sense that it was build in a different way. Seen them live twice on that tour and that was great especially coming at the heigth of grunge. When I interviewed Franz in 2006 he talked as passionate and knowledgable about hardware as he did talk about music. I guess that's the secret of this band...

TV Sky, Only Heaven, Super Ready/ Fragmente, and Everybody Knows are all great. Of the true studio stuff, the only one that doesn't quite measure up for me is Second Nature.

Their live albums are good, too, but really not much different than the studio stuff as they run off samples, so they sound essentially the same live or studio.

What's interesting is that it is a guitar album, but it's not. I'm presuming they sampled the guitar chords and triggered the samples with a keyboard. Weird, but it works.

Huge fan, glad to see there are other fans here. The first album and TV Sky are my favorites but as GodShifter noted, you really can't go wrong with any of them. I'd also recommend the Knock On Wood acoustic album, a highlight of which is the cover of Radiohead's "Everything In Its Right Place". Great live band too, saw them on the Only Heaven tour with Die Krupps opening up and was blown away. Too bad they don't come stateside more often...

That's the beauty of it, machines that make unnatural guitar sounds.

Agreed that the Knock on Wood acoustic album is very good; definitely worth picking up.

Amazing band that creates very unique and fascinating music, I love everything they have done,'

Only Heaven is Amazing album , the music is a combination of
electronic rock with amazing ambient sounds and beautiful sound effects,
the music has an atmosphere of Deep and clear beauty with lots of power,
Franz Treichler voice capability shows perfection.

They had a live show in Tel Aviv playing Only Heaven but I could not go because I was only 5 years old  , I am planning to see them in Europe in the coming year.

One of my favorite tracks : The Young Gods - Moon Revolutions ( from Only Heaven

Just revisited this album and it's still wow! Obviously certain elements sound dated now but the energy and atmosphere are amazing. It does remind me of the spring of 1992 and the great concert but power like this is really timeless.

Too bad the vinyl isn't housed in a gatefold cover, it would seem appropriate.

T.V. Sky is a brilliant record. I remember living on a street in Toronto where the rowdy trailer people would play AC/DC and later Guns N’ Roses on their porches until all hours. So at the end of my tether one afternoon, I put my speakers outside on our front stoop and put ‘Summer Eyes’ on repeat on my newish CD player at huge volumes. I still to this day think, they never knew what hit them but it must’ve been a great lost Doors jam. They ceased and desisted that day...Heheh.

Every time when I listen to The Night Dance from TV SKY( track 6) I feel hypnotized ,the vocals prepares you to an explosion of a strong storm of sounds , when I hear these sounds I always imagine huge storm of snow mixed with rain and Hundreds of thousands of Metal insects are break through the sky on their way to earth. It's impossible not to dance to this track , a fantastic track from a Great album :)

After a long time I listened to Second Nature cd 2000
, there are some great tracks on the cd, a combination of mesmerizing ambient sounds with waves of electronic assault like ; Supersonic , Lucidogen , Astronomic, The Sound In Your Eyes.
The Young Gods - the sound in your eyes

saw that, just wondering why it was locked up after just 2 posts? seen it happen to a few threads.

had everything by the band back in 90's, still got most of it but sadly think i7ve burnt out on it, just played it to death back in the day
