It's not the DCC. It says so in the ad. Sorry man. :(

    Just spotted that :-(

Oh well, at least I'll be able to A-B it with the DCC I already have :)

It's ok it's actually Ebays fault. When the seller puts in their title for sale Ebay supplies the listing for the DCC on the first try. Seller sees same picture and posts. This is recent on Ebay BTW and happens with a lot of these generic Ebay ads and especially new sellers ever since the announcement regarding half.com around 1 month ago IIRC.

    Always ask the seller people.

I sure wish that ebay would get this corrected with the UPC code .
It can be very misleading to potential bidders . I am very surprised that enough people have not complained that ebay would do something to correct it by now.

I've been doing a lot of searches for items with 'DCC CD Hoffman' in title and description and as you say, many CDs are appearing which are not the DCC versions, but because the DCC versions are referred to in the descriptions provided by 'Muze'. The photo of the DCC version is totally misleading also....

And you're right, it does appear to be something recent - never noticed it very much before.

I'm not bitter - I'll just be a bit more careful next time. BTW have people here noticed that DCC golds seem a but depressed price-wise on Ebay at the moment? An Elvis 24-karat hits went for around 30 Euros recently. Also mymusicfix has started putting up some of its gold CDs without a reserve, although many are still at the exhorbitant Buy-It-Now prices and high reserves.

Good luck to all DCC hunters out there, you know who you are.

PS I'm off to find a flattering pic of myself to add to the Members photos thread !

Is it eBay's fault if the Muze descriptions are wrong? That's out of their control if that's the case.

Sellers would do wise to just avoid that feature and list the disc the old fashioned way.

I see nothing wrong with the service, the problem is the sellers not prof reading the information. If the information is correct, it's a big time saver.

Still, it wouldn't have killed the seller here to have the title of his auction correct, as the title claims it's a gold CD. Deceptive listing despite the disclaimer in the body of the listing, confusing to say the least...

I've never listed a CD on eBay using the Muze data. Do you still get to enter your own auction title, or does eBay automatically fill it in?
