    ascot, O.K. Thanks. Some people have said that Japanese discs imported to the US were sometimes shipped without the OBI strips. I guess that's because they were in Japanese, so they weren't necessary in most countries. Perhaps some copies of Abbey Road imported to the US were shipped in blister packs without the OBI strip. Just a guess.

    I find the Toshiba rather flat sounding in comparison to the MFSL. Assuming that the Toshiba is close to being a flat transfer of the master tape, I'm saying that I like the EQ choices that MFSL made (such as the bass boost) when they mastered this one. Strictly personal preference. I'm sure that some would find the MFSL bass heavy.
