Does this mean every adult contemporary radio station in America is going to be playing "My Heart Will Go On" ad infinitum again? :yikes:

The only thing I want to see is 3-D boobies being drawn. "It's like I can reach right out and touch them...."

    I won't be able to resist. :D

  7. They'll play it in high rez! (not that it will matter) :D

I really hope this doesn't distract Cameron from approving OTHER projects for Blu-ray release that haven't been put out yet.

followed again by Titanic revisted restructured and rebooted over and over and over again! I can't wait!!!!

Imagine extruding every single figure on the deck into 3d when the ship breaks in half . . . it boggles the mind.

No, I won't go see it. 3d movies all look too dark to me.

I would enjoy Kate Winslet in 3d (except for the spitting scene).

I hate Dancing With Pocahontas, sad to see how a good director jumped the shark.

In-theater wind, and water-spray effects would actually be pretty cool. heh...

Actually, the fans were calling it Dancing with Smurfs.

I bet 99% of the members of the Directors Guild would love to jump the shark and make a movie that grossed $3 billion and won 3 Oscars and 2 Golden Globes. I'm not saying Avatar was the greatest film in history, but it's not the piece of crap you make it out to be.

As to Titanic in 3D: I'll reserve judgement until I see it. I hope Cameron uses the opportunity to fix the obvious-CG people on some of the deck scenes, which was one of the few technical flaws in the film that bothered me.

If it bombed in would be a turd...but, a mega moneymaker? pure genius.:D

I see avatar as blu propaganda...

No, a bunch of 1997 reviews noticed the same thing. Variety in particular said the shots were breathtaking, but the humans on deck looked a little "artificial," if memory serves.

Given this was done 14 years ago, I'm positive they could fix it quite a bit. The crowd shots in Avatar were exceptionally good (all done with Massive CG software).

Visual effects is the area I know the least about in post-production, but I've been reading up on it lately and have learned a lot more. Fascinating, unbelievably-complex subject.
