    One of the surprise delights of 1988. It came out of nowhere and topped the charts all over the place. I still love this album... so many good songs, and well executed.

    Paula's work after this was a bit of a letdown for me, so I never followed up on her career much after this release... but what a release it was!

    I remember when "Straight Up" started getting massive airplay on MTV. I was living in my first post-dorms college apartment, and if you didn't have a little crush on Ms. Abdul at that point, I don't know what your problem was.
