Tom Petty Tour Dates?

Does anyone else think it's strange that we haven't had more shows announced for a TP tour?

My dark side is starting to think the worst.

 

i.e. ...? No more dates? That wouldn't surprise me. He doesn't work so hard these days. Fair enough at his age.

 

Isn't it the same 2 country world tour he's done for 15 years?

 

What did he play, 30 shows. After the release of a well received album. Hmm

 

The tour was booked before the record came out.

 

Completely standard Petty tour, don't know why anyone would expect anything differently. There are rumors of Europe next year, but I'll believe it when I see it.

 

Face it, we're getting old. Can't tour like kids if you're approaching retirement age(he made 64 in October). I haven't seen Petty since 2003. Maybe I'll see him again, maybe not. Depends on logistics. In my case....ROAD trip. Artists love my city, just don't want to do a damn show here anymore...at least like they used to.....

 

My friend knows the mixer, the tour is FINISHED. No re-start dates under discussion but ya never know. Not difficult for them to sell out shows, after all.
