Hopefully they'll get individual releases too. I'd probably buy a '76 - '91 set as a whole but for the latter day releases, the quality is way more hit and miss IMO.

Agreed, but it's the music that matters most, and it's all good.

  7. Great Petty docu on Netflix. 4 hours long, but all enjoyable!

Where's vol 1 with 76 to 91? I would love a nice copy of some of the classic stuff, if it has Full Moon Fever which has been OOP on vinyl for decades. Wonder why they're doing the second half first? Easiest to locate?

Good question. I just assumed Vol 1 came and went and I missed it.

The rights are owned by two different labels; everything before Wildflowers is owned by Universal, while all the material on this box set is owned by Warners.

Might be in on this just to get Wildflowers and The Last DJ.

Echo and She's The One are criminally underrated, IMO

'She's the One' is grade A.

'Hung Up and Overdue' with Carl Wilson on background vocals and Ringo on drums is one of his greatest songs, every time i hear it i get goosebumps.

Wow, I hope these get individual releases as well. I've got a few of the originals from back in the day.

Not good. Listings for this on Bullmoose and Soundstage have been removed and labeled "Discontinued"
Still up on Amazon but that's not saying much.

Warners asked them to remove until they can make the BIG announcment themselves. The Moose orders will still be filled.

Thanks for the info. Baffling why they haven't made this "big announcement" already given the listings have been online for a few weeks now.

I suspect it's coming soon for two reasons:

    1. Yesterday on TP Radio said a spring tour is happening

    AND

    2. Petty's fanclub has continually pushed renewal dates all year until new packages are ready to be announced (they haven't had a new package since 2014). My renewal date was pushed and pushed...numerous times. It now sits at 10/31/16 and hasn't changed. Hopefully that's a good sign; there's something good comin'! :)
