One of my favorites. I've got an original DMM LP and the CD.

Hmmm...Tom told Rolling Stone they were shooting for this year for the DE.

This is the first one I reach for when I want to hear Tom Petty. Crystalline production, great songwriting - and funny.

Is the original source a reputable one? As MYKE mentioned, TP did state that the "Wildflowers" DE was slated for this year, not next.

We are however getting fairly late in the game here as far as announcements go. I would either expect something within the next two weeks or so, in order to take advantage of the holiday market OR nothing at all this year. The real bummer will be if it's not released for the holiday season this year, it might end up getting pushed back as far as Father's Day of 2015 (that is when the DE of "Highway Companion" was released as well as the "Traveling Wilburys" remasters) or *gulp* Christmas 2015!

I've got my fingers crossed that this source is just doing some of their own guesswork and has not received any type of notification from Petty's camp.

  15. My favorite Tom Petty album only equalled by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers' "Damn The Torpedoes". "Full Moon Fever" was good, too, though.

A wonderful album. If the re-issue has bonus tracks, I'll gladly re-buy the album.

"A Higher Place" is one of his finest Bytds knock-offs, and I mean that in the best way. Very Petty, yet very McGuinn/Clark.

No released date yet? I'm hoping for an HD download with all the bonus tracks.

The Pono Music Store has Wildflowers in 96/24. It sounds pretty good.

If you don't have the Live Anthology, you should try that one. It is really good also.

I can't believe that album is more than 20 years old now. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?!!

I was just thinking the same thing. I still wear my "Wildflowers" t-shirt!
