They are not 180gms. They’re the same versions that have been available separately for a while now...plus Wildflowers. I’m sure the art depot forgot to update the nomenclature on the box wraparound, and no one bothered to tell the retailers. Needless to say, I’m sure they will get a bunch of calls about it.

Live Anthology repress doesn't appear to have been released outside North America or the repress of the second box.

The reissue version from the box is better sounding than the original. Was lucky to get a copy probably from a broken up box along with She's the one, Echos and Last DJ.

Will have to disagree with you on that, original sounds better IMO...but of course respect your view...

In what ways do you think the original is better? What are you listening for?

I found it to be no contest. The new remaster is much more organic sounding, especially in the drums and acoustic guitars. The snare and cymbals had a much more 3D and natural sound and the guitars at times sound like they’re in the room with you. The original sounds good, but the new one sounds “real”.

I have a very early promo pressing of the original. It just sounds incredible in all aspects of the sound. A friend has the newer version and it sounds great as well, for some reason I am just partial to my original promo, a lot of fond memories attached to this particular copy, maybe that adds to the enjoyment. As I said, I totally respect your opinion.

Original is from digital. New one is from the analogue tape. The original does sound rather good however.

Acoustic Sounds had the volume 2 box set this morning. I ordered one.

Yesterday during the 20% off at MD would've been good.

I still got 10% off this morning from Acoustic Sounds. MD was showing 3-7 days to ship and that made me nervous.

Likely better shipping, at least here in Nashville. MD Media Mail goes on tour for a week, or two. Chad's folks, it's going out today if you ordered before 3pm CST, and will arrive by Friday in a Fed Ex truck.

I pulled the trigger on that deal thanks to you posting in the deals section. Couldn't roll the dice on Amazon getting this one in.

I have an original 1994 that lines up with the Discogs submission, including the dead wax of :

    • Matrix / Runout (SIDE A: 1 - 45759 - A - SR1 - DMM RB Precision
    • Matrix / Runout (SIDE B: 1 - 45759 - B - SR1 - DMM RB Precision
    • Matrix / Runout (SIDE C: 1 - 45759 - C - SR2 - DMM RB Precision
    • Matrix / Runout (SIDE D: 1 - 45759 - D - SR1 - DMM RB Precision
I also have what appears to my old eyes as : KM @at... on all 4 sides. Any idea who KM is/was ?

Me too. Analogue or not, the reissue will have to go some to better it.

No idea, neither can my ageing eyes detect KM in the dead wax on any sides of my German copy.

    The matrix numbers are..........

    Side A: WMME Alsdorf 936 245759 - 1 - A2

Side B: as above but ends with - B2

Side C: as above but ends with - C

Side D: as above but ends with - D

Apologies for the laziness of a single finger typist.

The improvement over the original is not subtle.
