After reading the Pepper thread I was wondering what everyones favorite three Beatles albums are? Heres mine.
    1. Hard Days Night: The most well crafted album of the 'Suit and Tie" era.
    2. Revolver: For obvious reasons.
    3. .......I honestly can't say.:)

    I think you've asked 2 questions:

"Top 3 Beatles albums"(your heading) sounds like an objective assessment of the musical merits whereas "favourite 3 Beatles albums" is a subjective assessment.

I can only give a subjective assessment of my favourites which of course has more to do with time and place and emotional connection than anything else:

    A Hard Days Night
    Help
    Rubber Soul
    The Beatles

    .....sorry I can't count!

Sorry, but the American releases are the one's I listened to in the 60's and early 70's when I was a young boy. I didn't acquire the British releases until I was older.
My most vivid memories of listening to The Beatles on vinyl (and watching those black rainbow Capitol labels spin around) come from the American releases that I grew up with. The three mentioned are particular favorites.

Grant Life is a rock, but the radio rolled me!

First, I am going to pick FOUR albums.
Second, I am going to pick the proper British versions.

    1. Revolver MONO
    2. Abbey Road
    3. Sgt Pepper MONO
    4. The White Album (so far, STEREO, until I get the MONO version. Then i'll decide which I prefer):)

Incredible, no band ever came close to releasing so much spectacular music in such a short time.

    1. Please Please Me- This sounds so young and fresh even after all these years. The U.K. version is the best but even any of the U.S. versions are great.

    2. Magical Mystery Tour- Lots of fun to listen to and of course for Strawberry Fields Forever and I Am The Walrus.

    3. The White Album- Depth of the material compared to their other releases. Even if you don't like some of the tracks, you've got to admit it covers a lot of ground. (I even like Revolution #9)
