I based this on my usual list of all-time 'favourite' albums and then took some liberties. Out were some of the albums that I feel less able to defend today: in were three (No More Shall We Part, The Underfall Yard & Evolve) that have been inexorably moving up my top 100 but might take another decade to rate this highly. I feel bad that some of my favourite artists today cannot make this list (no Grateful Dead, Biffy Clyro, Nightwish, John Zorn, Umphrey's McGee) but them's the breaks.
    • Genesis, Foxtrot
    • Queen, A Night at the Opera
    • Roy Harper, Stormcock
    • Kate Bush, The Dreaming
    • The Who, Quadrophenia
    • Nick Cave, No More Shall We Part
    • Metallica, ... And Justice For All
    • Tori Amos, Boys For Pele
    • Joni Mitchell, Blue
    • Kate Bush, Never for Ever
    • Peter Gabriel, Peter Gabriel 4 ('Security')
    • Kate Bush, The Kick Inside
    • Radiohead, OK Computer
    • Laura Nyro, New York Tendaberry
    • David Sylvian, Secrets of the Beehive
    • Marc and the Mambas, Torment and Toreros
    • Big Big Train, The Underfall Yard
    • Tears for Fears, Songs from the Big Chair
    • Ani Difranco, Evolve
    • The Boomtown Rats, Tonic For The Troops

    I love threads like this.

It's always interesting to see lists that include albums you dearly love alongside ones you revile (how can you possibly like this if you also like that!). Kudos for having much wider tastes than I can manage. :)

Also the inclusion of band I've never even heard of - there are many already, including Neutral Milk Hotel, Eat Lights Become Lights & Titus Andronicus - gives me plenty of things to look up & find out what I've missed.

    Still working on my list.

I originally had Nazz and Nazz Nazz, but it came down to Nazz Nazz or Everybody Knows and I did a mental coin flip with Neil winning. I also have Nazz III. I bought them as soon as they were released (Open My Eyes got a lot of radio play locally when it was first released, and I was hooked). I listen to the CD versions now. I've never gotten tired of them after all of these years.

Nazz was my intro to the world of Todd R via the Rhino Nuggets box in the 90s.

Open My Eyes was the track that hooked me in, I grabbed Nazz a cpl years after buying that Nuggets box (a great box with a ton of material that I spent years dissecting).

Anyway I loved Nazz and knew Todd's initial Nazz version of Hello Its Me well bEfore his remake ( and for a long time preferred the Nazz version).

I grabbed Nazz Nazz and Nazz III via that great 2cd set. Initially I dismissed Nazz III as the post Todd leaving leftover tracks he didn't care about (aka the 'music review rap' but in time I realized how great it is! Some People, Only One Winner. Magic Me and Todds amazing You Are My Window are sensational plus Loosen Up is fun.

Fungo Bat could've been a masterwork

It's common to say Todd made a leap as a solo artist, but I think his solid first LP was a slight step back after his Nazz scraps...
