Replying to my own comment. The Top 10 title didn't register in my brain.

It moves a bit often which is surprising cuz I've heard em all so much....fall/winter 2015 edition
    1. Sergeant Pepper's
    2. Abbey Road
    3. White Album
    4. A Hard Days Night
    5. Revolver
    6. Please Please Me
    7. Magical Mystery Tour (mono is light yrs better than stereo)
    8. Rubber Soul
    9. Let it be
    10. With the Beatles (I prefer in stereo---all the others I like both equally, though I guess AHDN is better in mono cuz Pauls voice cracks on the stereo If I Fell).

    6. Revolver (Uk)
    7. A Hard Days Night (Uk)
    8. Let it Be
    9. Please Please Me
    10. Past Masters Vol 2 (i know it's a comp---but how can anyone deny its greatness in compiling their brilliant run of mid-late period non album tracks!)

  6. Brian Kelly

Brian Kelly 1964-73 rock's best decade

All listed are the official CD versions:
    1. REVOLVER
    2. SGT PEPPER
    3. ABBEY ROAD
    4. RUBBER SOUL
    5. THE WHITE ALBUM
    6. MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR
    7. A HARD DAYS NIGHT
    8. HELP
    9. LET IT BE
    10. WITH THE BEATLES

If I can count US albums I'd put MEET THE BEATLES at #8.
The PAST MASTERS would also rate top 10 votes, probably as high as #6 for Vol. 2 and #9 for volume 1.

  7. In a 7/8 way logjam tie for #1: "Rubber Soul", "Revolver", "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band", "Magical Mystery Tour", "The Beatles (The White Album)", "Abbey Road", & "Let It Be"/"Let It Be...Naked" ("Past Masters Vol. 2")?

I don't count "Yellow Submarine" as a proper Beatles album & if we aren't counting "Past Masters Vol. 2" (my fave & it would be with the other 7 up there) & "Past Masters Vol. 1"....

...then I guess my others would be...

    "Help"
    "Beatles For Sale"
    "A Hard Day's Night"
    ("Past Masters Vol. 1)?

Clearly I love "Rubber Soul" onwards pretty equally, but for the earlier releases I prefer the later releases ("Help" the most & "Please Please Me" the least) amongst the embarrassment of riches that is the greatest catalog in music!

I can give you a top 5 but not in order as that is dependent on which day it is. Identifying 6 - 10 is just too hard for me.

    • Abbey Road
    • Rubber Soul
    • The White Album
    • Sgt. Pepper
    • Revolver

So as my literature professor would say with a list of the top ten writers of all time we have Shakespeare in the number one spot and all the others are still yet to come, so too my music professor said the greatest album ever was Abbey Road and we are still waiting for the rest to come along.
