I wanted to see if there is enough interest to do a Traffic album by album thread. I know there are some real Traffic fans here but I don't know if there are enough to sustain a a/b/a thread. Please let me know, and by all means any ideas or suggestions would be welcome.

I love Traffic, although I must admit to have never truly listened to the debut album. I start at the self-titled 2nd album and go from there, so when the time comes, I'll be in on the discussion for sure. My favorite Traffic release would either be Low Spark of High Heeled Boys or "Traffic", for what it's worth.

If this thread becomes a reality, please try to include the non-LP singles too. There are some very important ones.

I'm in. I have all their albums but mostly listen to the later period from John Barleycorn onward.

Saw them with Mason on 71 tour. But I am not familiar with the first three albums and Eagle. So it would be a learning thread for me. Traffic is congested to say the least, with band members and album names and songs here and not here, it should be fun to watch things straighten out.

Did that '71 show have Fairport Convention on the bill? Was it Long Beach Arena?

Love these guys! I saw the last show with Chris Wood, back in '74 (October 27th) at the Auditorium Theater in Chicago...Chris was drunk, Steve was sick, Steve left and went home after the show.... John Martyn was the opener and he was just wonderful! Yes, let's do this!
