Brief clips from three trailers for silent films. Dorothy Gish and newcomer Leon Errol from Broadway's Ziegfeld Follies in Clothes Make the Pirate (a lost film), Mary Pickford in Little Annie Rooney, and for me the most interesting, Harold Lloyd depicted in animated form for Speedy. I couldn't find a complete version of this last one on YT.

More trailers from the silent era:

The Live Wire w/ Johnny Hines -- clearly influenced by Harold Lloyd, the clip even has a human fly scaling a building.

Irene w/ Colleen Moors -- Moore was a superstar of the period. This is a film version of a hit Broadway musical.

North of 36 -- western epic

    Madam Sans-Gene -- costume romance w/Gloria Swanson

The American Venus -- comedy-drama about a beauty pageant

Although this print is for a reissue, it's basically the original trailer from 1932. Note the Tchaikovsky music (also used by the studio in the classic opening credits sequence of The Mummy):

This is the original trailer from 1933 in an excellent print. Note Ruby Keeler gets billed before Cagney.
