I guess this 3 CD release makes a lot of sense--to release them in one go, given the rumors of the recordings.

Fingers crossed he has, in addition, moved on to a new era with Monsieur Lanois.

You may be on to something. It is the day before April Fools Day.

I'm glad he's getting all these out in one go!

Now, it's time to record new originals. I'm sure he can find some current events that might spark some inspiration if he looks hard enough.

Think this is the song Bob's covering?? Probably not the Beatles, right?

Dylan (and his office) has/have seemingly responded to 21st century technologies in recent years. I guess/hope he will still produce another "album" (with all that implies), but, simultaneously, I suspect there is increasing realization that recordings can be delivered in different ways (for better or, occasionally perhaps, for worse), with the Complete Basement Tapes opening the floodgates . . .

Yes. It's the P. S. I Love You written by Gordon Jenkins and Johnny Mercer. Also recorded by Sinatra.

Well, I'm disappointed, but at least it seems like an effort to release the last of what's left.

Very much in for this. I love that Bob has effortlessly made the most listenable series of Great American Songbook albums without even trying. Take that, Rod Stewart!

Just at first glance, at least 21 of these were recorded by Frank, maybe more. I suppose we'll figure more out tomorrow.

I have to say, "I Could Have Told You" is one of my favorite Frank records, one of my all time faves by anyone, anywhere, it's a great record, and Bob's version is lovely!

That man never stop making surprising moves. Since his last two albums are-imo-uniformly great this might be another gem

March is right around the corner... Soon we'll have some new Dylan to listen to and then the gospel set.

That being said, I sure hope Dylan is done with the standards as it is time for a new collection of original songs.

Even more Sintra and standards. A triple album this time. I will probably check it out but do not feel the urgency.

It's the nightmare that keeps on giving.

  23. Dylan being Dylan, I was half-thinking "Triplicate" would be a 3-CD set with the identical tracks on all three discs...

Bob's voice sounds nice and mellow in that video, and I really dig that steel guitar sound he's been using.

And the fact that a turntable is playing a record in the clip might mean it'll be coming out on vinyl.

EDIT: But I hope they find some better cover art for it.

Bob's been listening to early Bee Gees, evidently.
