Now, I want the impossible. Frank Sinatra doing the Bob Dylan songbook. Maybe a lost session? I hope he included Just Like a Woman and Sad Eyed Lady.
Yes, we should make a list of Dylan songs that Frank should have done. Especially in his older almost broken soulful voice.
So I am confused, how does the CD sound of this title. One guy said it is the worse CD he has ever heard in his life. Other people say that it sounds pretty good. Which is it?
Thank you very much. I am an outspoken critic of the 2009 Beatles remasters, they are WAY to loud for me. So I guess that I will stay away from this. Sad!!!
Money. I would have to buy it to listen to it. If I don't like it then I would lose money on the deal.
New copies of the 3 CD set are on Amazon for $15. Samples of the set are on the web. Did you try either of the two previous Dylan albums of standards? Used copies of those are available for between $2 to $4. If the music interests you, these are not expensive. They are also available on streaming services (I don't use them). If you live near a public library, many of those have some of these titles.
I got the three-Lp set in the deluxe box from Amazon for $26,. The cover was listed as damaged but it looks fine to me.
I haven't listened to the whole album yet but, unless I'm imagining things, Triplicate does seem noticeably louder than the two previous albums.
That’s great. I was nervous about buying it due to “cover damage “. Glad it was no problem. I found one a week ago for $45 which should be here any day.
The sound quality of the CD. The fellow that posted that earlier in this thread really enjoyed the vinyl but said the CD was too loud.
I have both the cd and the lp set. While he vinyl does sound better, the CD doesn't sound bad at all to me.
