What are some of the most bizarre and unique albums alternate albums covers you can think of? Please post examples, and back covers too (if available). **NO COMPILATIONS** -- only "regular albums" qualify. Here's the one that I first thought of in wanting to start this thread, as example... Miles Davis - Kind Of Blue Kind Of Blue, Russian LP from 1993 (categorized by Discogs as "unofficial").
I always kinda liked this one: Deep Purple's Made in Japan, released in Uruguay: Deep Purple - Made In Japan Not only did they create a new cover from the inside of the gatefold, but the band picture on the back was some 3 or 4 years too old.
Here's another take on Kind of Blue, from Australia -- and legit on CBS... Miles Davis - Kind Of Blue
This was briefly considered for the cover of Who's Next. Various shots from this session were used to promote the album.
That Spanish Sticky Fingers cover is awesome. Love it. Really wanted the reissue, but I was too slow on the draw before she sold out.
I always got a laugh out of the Russian CD of "Fictitious Sports", which tries (on both the cover and the CD) to pass it off as a Pink Floyd album!
The Rolling Stones, "Aftermath" 1966 Japan. Rather rustic and charming unless they're standing in a lava flow.
