Here goes a long winded question/questions. I'm in the process of starting over with my gear. I've decided I want to go the tube route, either integrated or seperates. My budget either way is about $1500 for them. My room is small, I mean SMALL, 12x11. 10' ceilings. I believe book shelfs are the way to go, however, most of the amps I've seen in my price range don't have anything I could use for a sub out. Are there book shelfs out there that don't need a sub? (I haven't found any that don't mean a remortgage of the house) Is my recourse to use whatever sub I purchase outputs for my bookshelfs? Does this mess with the sound? Do I want a powered sub? Is the room too small for 2 subs? (yes?) I'm leaning to a push/pull integrated with about 35w/channel. I play a mix of 50/50 vinyl to CD's. Classic rock mostly. I used to have a Dynaco ST-70 with Klipsch Hereseys and HATED IT. Much too thin FOR ME. That sucking sound you hear is the cash leaving my wallet Thanks for the help!!!!
