I have owned a Dual 1209 and my 1st TT was a _______ changer with a ceramic catrtridge.
I have a semi retired Yamaha YPD6 and currently use a Sota Comet w/ Shure V15Vmxr and a Thorens TD115 with Shure M44-7 for mono and 78 and AT 440MLa or Shure V15 IV for Stereo.

I would like to upgrade the Thorens to either a TD124, TD125 (Moded for 78) or TD126 with a SME 3009 (removable Headshell) and I'd be extremely happy.

One to put on your 'wish list' or at least to scope out if you have the opportunity: the big Kronos table with companion arm. Got the opportunity to spend some quality time with one yesterday (along with its baby brother), Although it is a 'big bucks' table, it seems like the table competes at the very top tier and at that level, is far from overpriced. The drive system is clever (counterplatter), the motor system is very slick and the isolation capabilities of the deck are phenomenal. (That alone is a money saver, given the cost of some aftermarket isolation platforms for higher mass turntables). The accompanying arm is also a clever piece of engineering and allows easy arm wand swaps. I listened to the big table for several hours using the same cartridge I'm currently running- an Airtight Supreme- and while it is impossible to discern what the table is contributing to the overall sound of an unfamiliar system- I heard a huge amount of 'nothing' on a very large, high resolution system, with very large staging laterally and front to rear, absolutely foundational bass and a 'quiet' that doesn't indicate a record is playing.

I got a Technics SL1210 with rewired RB250, OL armboard, OL feet and Timestep PSU. I would really really like a Technics SL1210 with rewired RB250, OL armboard, OL feet and Timestep PSU.

 

I don't have anything on my mind that I would like in place of my Rega P9, but in searching for an answer to this question I came up with the Clearaudio Innovation.

 

This is the exact turntable I mentioned in my post above as what I want to own. This is the Innovation Wood with the Universal tonearm. I have heard this table with a Concerto v2 cartridge and it is sweet.

 

Do you by any chance remember where you read about that? Something high end?
