Lists like these are always subjective:

    Carol Burnett Show
    M*A*S*H
    All In The Family
    ER
    Hill Street Blues
Homicide (can't recall the exact name -on NBC)

and many sitcoms that I think are great, but won't mention because I don't want to get into a debate about what is socially redeeming.

Favorite show of all time: Babylon 5

When I say this, I then explain to people (after pulling the wedgie out of my crack) that the writing, characters, and scope of the show is simply unlike and leagues beyond anything that has ever graced the small screen.

    Favorite current show: Deadwood
Funny, phenomenally entertaining characters, brilliant performances, consistently engaging.

I like Roseanne because it's real. People act and talk like that in real life. Closest thing to reality on TV i've ever seen. Seriously! I know people like this!

The original B&W Twilight Zone is still my #1 show ever!

Wow, none of these shows are on television anymore. Pity.

At least we still have David Letterman.

That show was brilliant. I think a lot of folks found the fourth season after Phil Hartman's untimely passing upsetting to watch. Watching the reruns without that tragedy fresh in my memory, he is still missed, but it is also still a deliriously funny show. They defied convention by pushing the envelope of every shark-jumping danger sign (gimmick episodes, having the male and female leads get together in the first full season, heck, even a storyline where Bill McNeil considered adopting a baby!) and yet still remained hilarious.

    Regards,

Testify, Ken! My Sunday nights/Monday mornings aren't the same now that I don't have new eps of AD sitting on my TiVo to view. I understand there is on remaining new ep that will air on the 6th of next month. Looking forward to that.
