The best show ever is "The Simpsons."

Love "Three's Company" and gotta give a :righton: to Jay Leno's monologue - that's one hard workin' boy 10 years plus now near nightly - quite a feat. I don't think he gets enough credit.

That show did suck after the first year, I'm afraid, when creator John Kricfalusi got fired.

Has anyone mentioned "Boomtown"? (sorry if I missed the post)
THAT was friggin' incredible. Thanks to NBC, the same network that once nurtured fine shows like St. Elsewhere, Hill Street Blues, Cheers etc. let this gem die a painful death on Sunday nights after barely one season. Morons.

Way back in the early 90s there was this excellent drama on CBS called "WIOU", about a struggling news station. CBS dropped it without notice, it was still in the TV listings when it suddenly didn't air. :realmad:

I was going to say All In The Family but didn't they jump the shark when they brought that little girl in the last season or so? Or was she just in Archie Bunker's Place?

Roseanne was great except for that last year when they dreamt they were millionares.

They could've just did a few episodes of that but not a whole season.

The last episode was cool though, it made up for that whole season almost.

This probably does not reach the critical status that many of the programs already mentioned here, but I really like Miami Vice.

Since no one else has mentioned, I am going to put up the Joss Whedon trio as tv shows that definitely did not suck:

    Buffy the vampire slayer
    Angel
    Firefly

    p.s.

Arrested Development...been mentioned, needs to be mentioned again. Best non-animated sitcom in the past ten years, period. All of you who missed this, and that would probably be the majority of you judging by the ratings, really missed out. Hopefully it will return, but looks doubtful.
