The Kay Martin cover below your post is the one with ear muffs.
they're ALL ugly.
Not posting this because I think it's awful, just because it's weird, so folks might appreciate it. The music on this one is pretty weird, too.
(Personally I like weird, creepy, gaudy, campy, outsider, etc.)
Couldn't find a bigger image of this one, unfortunately:
I have this thanks to a buddie of mine> love the cover
Ren & Stimpy's "Crock O' Christmas" featuring the Sausage Cart and the lesser-known West Pole.
My guess? Real hat. Fake hair color.
That is horrible on so many levels!
The Barbara cover looks like she's regenerating - Doctor Who style.
Also, just happens to contain the worst music of the three. I would dare to say the boring and nondescript cover matches the contents well. [And, yes, I am a big fan of JB!]
That ain't ugly.
At all . . .
Great comp, though, and you have to admit the cover suits the material.
I understand they baked the tapes for this one to make it "extra crispy"...
Another case where the album is a classic, but...
That is a really ugly background/shirt color! Not very Christmasy at all!
There's a stark contrast in this thread between covers that know they're ugly/gaudy/offensive and those that were done in complete earnestness, and were probably considered sophisticated at the time. Like that Tony Bennett cover.
I've always disliked this Buffett cover because, although it's designed to look corny anyway, the look on Jimmy's face is like "I just farted" or something.
He looks so sad and lonely... or dead.
Too bad it's not a St. Patrick's Day album.
O come all ye faithful!
That's kinda gross, actually.
Jackie Gleason...? Really?
Separate names with a comma.
