    I think he's putting that figure in because you have to fill that space with something or audiogon's auction bot won't accept the listing...

    If you read closely, he is reminding people about his auctions on the same site...in fact he posts a link to them...

    That's my read....

    You are correct...I have bought a few things over there, although I'm not a seller. The "$9999" thingy is quite common, although usually you see it for a group of items where the individual discs are priced in the body of the ad.

    Almost every CD listed on Audiogon is overpriced. If you look at the listing for the past month, about 90% did not sell. What are these sellers thinking - people who shop on Audiogon are pretty price savvy.

    It's gotta be a misprint. I just picked this up for $14, just slightly a bargain under what's he's asking.
