I'm listening to the Toronto show from the latest Dylan bootleg box. This is heavy stuff.
Great album title. I wonder if they're making fun of the Beach Boys. Probably not.

6 and 12 are simply a matter of how one notates it. Well, unless it's a 12/8 triplet thing over a 4/4. But in general, if one is not reading, 4 = 8 and 6 = 12; interpret as you may. An example of something to the contrary is Greatest Story Ever Told. The little meandering jam between chorus and verse is a bar of 7, a bar of 9, two bars of 8; bar of 7, a bar of 9; two bars of 8. The accents preclude interpreting it any other way. I also count the bars in 4 as bars in 8 because it makes more sense for me to do so when juggling bars in 7 and in 9.

I keep telling myself, "OK, enough Dylan," but I can't stop listening. I think I'll make it through the whole Toronto show tonight. Bob is just too good.

I recently spent an evening listening to a bunch of their live albums, which were also pretty good.

I really liked this album. I don't think it sounds all that much like the Grateful Dead. (Certainly not as much as Black Crowes fans on this forum seem to.)

Anyway, it's a great band he has.

Allman Brothers Band live at Winterland 1973.

It is weird to hear the band with just one guitar. Dickey did a lot of work, learning Duane's slide parts etc

Allman Brothers Band - Play all night. Live at the Beacon theatre NYC 1992.

Dickey and Warren brought the good stuff. This show rocks

I just got the two CD which I like a lot, but now I’m really curious about the other shows in that box. Everyone seems pretty happy with it.

14 years ago I was discovering this album. Golden times in my life (but I was not aware of it, and maybe that's one of the reasons they were so wonderful). A masterpiece.

I like this one even better. Rich's guitar tone is full on.

I think you get enough of the story with 2CDs, but I thought the Toronto show was really good. Like you'd expect, the show peaks on the second disc. But none of these shows are complete because they cut out Bob's sermons, which is a discussion that is going on in the Trouble No More thread.

First of all, great name for a box set!
I think someone in this thread was listening to it a year or two ago, so I wrote it down.
Really great vibe on this set. Uplifting music!
