Isn't the mono stuff supposed to be the only way to listening to these?

Really great record. Matt Cameron and Ged in tandem was a very good idea.

LP and CD have some different cuts/versions. Worth having both. The Big Come Up is just so darn refreshing. I stopped at El Camino and have enjoyed them live. Super heavy rotation at my house until Turn Blue. Magic Potion has never really stood out for me.

Opinions differ. Personally, I like everything up through Help! in mono or stereo and then stereo only starting with Rubber Soul. Overall, I prefer stereo to mono, but mono does have its merits, especially in the more focused presence in the drums and vocals. Of course there are many cases of different source tapes being used for mono masters than those used for stereo masters, so there's that also.

Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner! I really don't like those early stereo mixes. If someone grew up with them, fine, I understand, but I didn't.
