Great sounding show. One of the last with the Cardinals. I guess this is a "ultramatrix". There so many good SDB out there. I'm sure that Ryan let people plug in because he was a Deadhead
Nice... Any suggestions on sites where I could find these shows? I checked btree and there were a few posted.
Yes, check the archives. You can even download SDBs in flac. This is not my list but it's a very good recommendation 2005-06-03 - www.archive.org/details/ryanadams2005-06-03.flac16 2006-07-22 - Ryan Adams Live at The Norva on 2006-07-22 : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive 2006-10-17 - Ryan Adams Live at Das Haus on 2006-10-17 : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive 2007-06-29 - Ryan Adams Live at Somerville Theatre on 2007-06-29 : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive 2007-07-14 - Ryan Adams Live at Paramount Theater on 2007-07-14 : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive 2007-11-26 - Ryan Adams Live at RAI Auditorium on 2007-11-26 : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive 2007-12-01 - Ryan Adams Live at Clyde Auditorium on 2007-12-01 : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive 2008-09-30 - Ryan Adams Live at Palace Theatre on 2008-09-30 : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive 2008-11-08 - Ryan Adams Live at Ambassador Theatre on 2008-11-08 : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive 2009-02-21 - Ryan Adams Live at Orpheum Theatre on 2009-02-21 : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive
Heard this for the first time yesterday. Aretha is amazing, but her band is on fire. I love that tight soul/r+b sound from that era. I wish they had taken the tempos down about 10%. The show must have been a barn- burner at the time, but the speed makes it a little congested (kind of like late-era Janis Joplin).
Whoa! That's perfect, thanks a lot. I had no idea there were so many shows on that site. There goes the rest of my weekend.
The two shows from summer '07 is full band but with acoustic guitars. But don't let that scare you. Das Haus from '06 is fantastic. If you dig the mellow electric vibe. The band sat on bar stools for some reason *edit The Daus Haus gig was a Jazzfest thing. I saw them 4 days earlier in Stockholm. That was not mellow. It was a great rockin show
One of my friends and post-college roommates used to love playing that album. I totally forgot about it; need to check it out again.
Listening to the brand-new album by Circles Around The Sun. I've just picked up my copy (No booklet at all, by the way)
That's my favorite album of all-time. The deluxe edition is all-killer, no-filler. The Detroit mix is a fascinating alternative. Marvin's dual lead vocals are mixed hard-right, hard-left, so it's like having dual Marvins singing to you. The live gig is fantastic and the single versions are very different/unique compared to the album versions.
Listening to the Travelling McCoury's. They have a Bluegrass festival where they play the music of the Grateful Dead. I can see why they have their own band. This is not their father Del's idea of Bluegrass I guess? Very progessive and jammy.
