Under The Dome (tv series)

I've had a good time making fun of the season 2 episodes but after having watched the previous two episodes I think it's time to stop.
The awful writing/acting was only funny for a while...

 

That is why I quit the Last Ship.

 

Why don't they just put a big cushion in the play ground and everyone could jump out of the dome.

 

At least we now know where the army is.....16 clicks away from the Dome for some reason.

Barbie hanging onto the truck chassis for sixteen kilometers was a good laugh.

 

My favorite part of that sequence was that it seemed like numerous military officers should have seen him as he got under the truck, and/or once he was under the truck, and definitely should have seen him as he dropped down and ran away after his ride was over. I'm sure the military appreciates that the writers have had to make the military look even *dumber* than the main characters in order for Barbie to be successful.

I'm also starting to wonder why the people in the town aren't realizing that the sheriff is the worst position ever. It's like being the drummer in Spinal Tap. They keep getting shot, killed, disappearing, getting overthrown, etc.

 

Well it doesn't look like any of the dropouts really got hurt too badly as a result of the fall.

 

Maybe they're worried about magna-dome?

Oh wait, that only happened in the first episode of this season (which according to the timeline was only a few days ago), and then everybody forgot about it.

 

I haven't missed an episode, but......it's getting harder and harder to watch without my thoughts drifting off somewhere else. I can't see a season 3 out of this, some of the story lines are bordering on ridiculous.

Big Jim's scene with the hand-drawn signs should be synched with Dylan's 'Subterranean Homesick Blues'.

 

I saw that and said, "he'd be superhuman to even be able to hang upside down underneath a truck for 1 kilometer (a little more than half a mile). 8 miles... no way. Not possible by humans.

 

The sheer stupidity is only increasing... why wouldn't the five (?) people who know how to escape tell everyone? Why do they want the town to remain stuck under the dome? And if they're worried about their precious egg, just leave it behind. Or take it with and let the government use it as an energy source - we could certainly use that, so what's the problem?

The whole thing completely falls apart considering this, IMO.

 

So Big Jim was the first person to figure out that it might be beneficial to communicate with the outside world using a method that is 1000s of years old?

 

but people keep watching

 

And hating every minute as they poke holes in the story.

 

This reminds me of the David Gilmour song....There's No Way Out of Here.

 

This was actually a pretty good episode by Dome standards. We learned the Dome is actually the Smoke Monster from Lost.

Nah, it will be a bright light in the Diner or School, instead of a Church, very clever twist

 

Yep.

 

There are no bright lights on this show, silly. Onscreen or off
