Hello to all. As my daughter would say, I've been collecting records for like quote oh so many years ago unquote. I believed I had seen everything. I received today my third copy of Colosseum Live, a UK pressing packaged in something called an AV Pack. Have you ever seen this? The carboard section has no pockets, its just a single piece of cardboard printed with both sides of the regular release. On its inside spread there are two (double album) translucent orange-colored plastic pockets, with foam lips on their openings. They are supposed to be glued to the outer edges but these ones came loose years ago. "AV/Pack - A product of Sound Packaging partnership".
I think I have a double album in the same packing - El Pea, a sampler. I don't think these lasted very long, being thick and unwieldy. The foam was said to 'wipe the dust' from the album on insertion. I have a similar plastic boxed LP from the sixties by Norrie Paramor Orchestra, it's almost like a CD box, but obviously bigger, with a hub to hold the disk by the center. Mike
