  1. Wow, that does blow away what's on the awful sounding Yessongs. If the next sample sounds as good as this one I'm in.

If there were a 28 LP boxset I'd be in.

At $30 per disc it could get expensive.

Hopefully the premium would apply to the whole package and each disc would round down to about $10.

Yeah I was joking and forgot the smiley face. It would have to be a reasonable price for it to sell. But can you imagine a box of this size and the backlog at the pressing plant this would create?

    Sold! Two times over.

Here's hoping the vinyl is not screwed up...

Given Yes is one of the greatest bands to listen to on LP I really don't care what the pressing plant has to say. It simply has to be done, and they can sell it at cost from the factory. :agree:

Is anyone else getting both the 14 CD set and YES – PROGENY: HIGHLIGHTS FROM SEVENTY-TWO? Are the Highlights (2 CD) supposed to be a best of compilation? I've pre-ordered both, but I'll sace $20 if it's overkill with both sets.

I think the idea of the 2 CD set is selecting the best performances of the tracks without duplicating the performances that are on Yessongs.

I'm getting the 14 CD set and see no reason to get the Highlights as well. YMMV.

Yeah, you know what I mean. It's older material, not something recorded in the last couple of years. Some of it overlap with Yessongs, no?

Not really. These are different tapes. I see this as a brand new release

I pre-ordered both to capture the lowest price (uh, obviously lowest pre-release lest someone jump on me) but today I'm going to the order on the little set. They seem to have a knowledgable group who are saying the right things, like leaving in the mistakes (walking away from the microphone etc.), keeping the between song chatter in, making the effort to make the bass sound better and so on. So I'm all in!

Guys, I own some fancy Box Sets of my favorites. Highlights from them, where are available, happened to be the most useful everyday thing, backing collectable and precious stuff.

Such, I bought Billie Holiday (love her...) Good Morning Blues. The Complete Columbia Recordings 1933-50 Mini LP 10CD box set. And also The Complete Masters 1933-59 Mini LP 15CD box set - that what I named precious stuff. Then I bought Highlights 4CD set in Jewel cases. These 4 discs I repackaged in 2 Double Jewel cases. And I find myself using it all the time, to my daughter for a copy, to my friend for a party, in a car, everywhere. I do need to open fancy box to listen just to one damn song on the mood.

All-in-all, inexpensive Highlights is "a must" for all 14CD box set owners.

Everyone, who are planning or did already order Highlights from Japan:

I just tried to order Highlight through my DU guy in Japan. He said: no, it's not SHM.
I argued, it's doesn't make sense, the price is higher than another one with import discs...
    And he said:

    - Hello, ...
    YES CDs
Highlights 2CD set : standard CD (SHM CD does not exist)
14 CD set : SHM CD
    Best Regards, ...

    And I can only say:

    - Thank you, I will wait for release date of Highlights.
Please take it out from my order for now.

    Sorry, guys...
