That would be nice and is a great offer. Would require an act of congress at casa da Kyle. We will be in Seattle for the 4th (of July, my birthday) as is our annual tradition.

Sponsor a bill. There's great record shopping to be had in Victoria.

Yup. The official word has her due at the end of June.

Victoria's on our hit list for next year. The sprog is going to need to learn how to bar crawl sooner or later.

You can hit Fascinating Rhythms in Nanaimo. I was walking up the street on my way to the store when I saw Diana Krall and her dad coming out - Diana loved Vinyl apparently! Of course her song Departure Bay is the street I live on and she is from Nanaimo. They have tons of vinyl - pretty ridiculous. There is another vinyl shop around the corner with probably 30,000+ LPS BUT you have to inspect their quality a bit closer cause their idea of excellent and mine are not always on the same page. Here in Hong Kong there is half a floor dedicated to vinyl - they're selling Rega RP3 and ProJect Debut tables as well - which considering it's HMV is still a little impressive no?

Bring all your old DVDs and Blu-Rays - or old albums and trade them - here is their facebook page https://www.facebook.com/fascinatingrhythmnanaimo

Well done my friend, Those are some great write ups. Thanks for making sure you included my criticisms. The tone and emotion of Shindo awates you when you are ready.

The lack is only $9 in the usa! What a deal. I suspect the avid would do better on something in the $30 range... ;)

    Much as I hate to resuscitate a dead horse . . .

Besides short, low mass supports being one perfectly valid approach to hi-fi furniture, what no one apparently noticed was that the Lacks had pointy metal feet affixed, and the CD player and turntable (less visible) were sitting on Sorbothane implants. At home I do use a Mapleshade rack, (250lbs?), but if anyone thinks I'm shipping that monster 6k miles round trip for a weekend, they're mad.

Attention was, in fact, paid, and while mileage does vary person to person, Rafe and Peter Breuninger of AV Showrooms, among others unpublished, did receive the message we were sending.

Yeah sure the write up is ok, but, how about best pizza in Vancouver? Best place to listen to tunes while scarfing pizza, beer and red wine? Clearly it was well east of the show by about half an hour ; )

What David is saying is true. It's quite popular in the UK to use lightweight rigid tables for your Hifi. Although not as pretty as some high end stands, those IKEA tables seem to be commonly used.

The original model was best - I believe they changed the design a couple of years ago and the legs now have some hollow space instead of being filled with the chip slurry. I have three old ones.

Let me guess David - this was one of Peter's selections??? Everyone always complaining about fuddy duddy music can't complain too much with this. 8 whole watts per channel. :)

Dunno,Munich is Mario's show. Peter's choices are much heavier than this.

AN has a new flagship monoblock above the Gaku On ($250K+) - Am I seeing things? It's the bubble shaped amp with 2 power supplies per amp presumably above and below. 4242 output tubes - found pic on facebook AN UK and Elrog Vacuum tubes - Have they joined forces? Elrog makes pretty slick 211 and PQ loves his 211s.
