My friend has one of these. You'll get an awful record player of the cheapest quality, a radio, mediocre speakers, a record player with surprisingly decent sound quality. Now, of course it doesn't hold a candle to, say, my Nakamichi DR-3, but for the cost it's pretty decent, the main drawback obviously being the lack of noise reduction options. And the CD player is meh to my ears, but I don't even know much of anything about CD players, let alone have anything to compare it to.

Oh shoot, cassette deck, not record player. The record player sucks, the cassette deck is of half decent quality.

I am always hesitant to purchase things like this. I love the idea of it ;however, in many cases these things turn out to be poor quality.

I'm going to pass on it. Thanks for the help.

And to note, the Victrola puts a lot of tracking force on your records, accelerating groove damage. Not to mention skipping on records with complicated passages in the grooves. Nothing can be fixed/changed to make it work well, kind of like shining a piece of poo...

No. Pretty much the equivalent of setting $100 on fire.
