Lost interest after Ragnar’s death and I was already getting bored when he was still on the show. I don’t keep up with it anymore.

Lonson I'm in the kitchen with the Tombstone Blues

I am still watching. . . it has its moments both sides of the coin. I'm watching Knightfall too . . . but that's weak, as much as I'd really like to love it, I can't.

Something has been bothering me about the big battle scene. I couldn't quite figure out out... But I couldn't stop thinking about it.

Why did Ivar leave the battle? I know why... to protect the ships. But why did HE leave? Didn't he want to kill Lagertha desperately for killing his own mother?

And Heamund... this unstoppable warrior priest. Now he's been captured by his second group of Vikings in 3 episodes. He seems sort of like a bitch.

I'm the first to admit I don't know historically what happened here. But the action is like a puzzle that isn't fitting the narrative.

There is no narrative. All this stuff is creative fiction.

Been watching this from the start. Seems to have gone off a bit since Ragnar bought it. I realise it's only based on historical fact but I'd like it to stick loosely to the known facts since it's using actual people who lived. This last episode with Aethelwulf's succession is just plain daft. Alfred's brother giving up the throne in favour of Alfred makes no sense from a story point of view. The actual events are far more interesting than the plot they've given us which is just the usual guff. They're just trying to shoehorn Alfred into the plot. Why not just move it forward thirteen years like they've done in the past? I'll watch the next episode but I think its time has come. Time to watch 'Britannia' for my bit of crazy historical drama. To be honest I'll be watching it for Katheryn Winnick!

We do they reach Vineland /America historically?

Well the last episode was better than I expected. I'll still tune in for the next one, but it's definitely losing out to 'Britannia' in the historic drama / comedy department. 'Peaky Blinders' doesn't count as it looks & sounds like that now.

How does BriTannia compare with ViKings?

Nowhere near as good. I watched 'Britannia' and I'll watch series two if they make one. The first three series of 'Vikings' are excellent.

Just watched Britannia, yep its a weird one alright. Was it popular? Mystical comedy at times.

I don't think it was that popular. The Guardian did a review in it's tv section and gave it a right kicking. Compared to the Homer one they did, set in Troy, can't remember the title of it, it was fantastic. If Mackenzie Crook hadn't been in it I wouldn't have been to fussed.

Britannia needs more action. But the two Romans taking pyschedelics was hilarious...and the cat weasel druid is always interesting.

2nd half of Season 5 starts tonight at 9:00 PM ET.

Right now (8:00 PM ET) is a special about Bjorn's Story.

    Random musings...

The show has legs without Ragnar.

How would Ivar know his wife was pregnant? She told him in a dream. Or... was the cutting of his hand and licking his blood do the trick (in his mind) because she convinced him he was a God.

Bjorn is diddling the future queen. That can't be good for intercontinental relationships.

Battle of the Bishops. That could be fun

Nice start to the second half of the season.

You could shave her bald (sigh...her head guys... come on... you dirty bastards) and I'd still eat a grocery bag full of bad cabbage just for the chance to share a meal and a nice chat with her.

Once the cabbage passed, of course.
