Vincent PHO-8 burn in.

    Does burn in happen when sitting there just on and not being used, or does it have to be bring fed a signal in order to break in ? thanks.

    If its just on sitting there.....no. Must be used.

    Mine sounded great right out of the box, sound hasn't changed in 3 years of use.

    Interestingly, Paul of PS Audio just posted on this topic. In his experience gear generally breaks in just being turned on, without needing to run music. Of course, cables need music in order to form the dielectric, but gear perhaps not so much. I can't say I've ever compared, however.

    Yeah mine does as well. But you here so much talk about break in. Not just this brand either.

    I hear a lot of talk about it as well and if people think they hear a difference that's great. I don't except in speakers and maybe phono cartridges
