Hi, I have just bought a pair of Rogers Studio 1, I so adore its sound and have some concerns, I hope some members in this forum can help me. I found very little information about this. I wonder if this pair much similar in content (beside the appearance) to the Spendor BC1, BC2? So the amp suitable for Spendors would do the same for Rogers Studio 1? I am using the Audio Cambridge p70 with it but the sound is quite mellow, soft , and the bass is not strong and tight. The second concern is this pair is quite old (mid 1970s the seller said), do I need to do anything to refresh them? The third concern is that, this pair has been put for some days in 1cm water due to water leakage . The bottom has just become a little bigger because of water absorption, some of the screws has got rusty. I wonder if the drivers have got rusty to? What kind of material are its drivers? I dare not to open the speakers' case for I have never done that. Sorry for my bad English and perhaps "silly" and/or overstated concerns. But I hope for your understand that this is the first time I possess such a 'wonderful' speakers (to me) with an affordable price. If this pair gets something wrong, I budget won't allow me to buy a new one with similar quality until a long time later.
