Warning: problem with Denon AVR-X3300W March 2017 firmware update

After installing the Denon AVR-X3300W March 2017 firmware update, I was getting low or no sub output for sources in "stereo" mode, and overall volume across all channels was lower than before at the same volume level setting. Others reported a similar issue on other forums.

After trying various resets and recalibrations and going back and forth with Denon support, they provided instructions for installing the previous Sept. 2016 version of the firmware. This fixed the problem.

 

I recently bought the Denon AVR-X3300W but have yet to hook it up. What is listed in the March 2017 firmware update? Is it worth updating if the firmware update is buggy or has Denon fixed this issue?
