You ever get sucked in to buying something at a record show? In 1989 I was big on Freddy Cannon and so I checked out this record show in Montreal and looked at one table that had a bunch of his vinyl. I walked away. Looked around some more. Towards the end of the show, probably about 5:30 or 6:00 this big, fat guy corners me and says something like, "Someone else is interested in those Freddy Cannon records! Ya better hurry!" Like the pathetic gullible 'man' that I can be, I scurry over to the table and pull out a hundred bucks for four Freddy Cannon Swan LPs. I have not listened to any one of them in their entirety, which just shows how much I wanted them. His greatest hits are FANTASTIC, though. You ever get sucked in?

My first Freddy Cannon single - Way Down Yonder In New Orleans, on Top Rank - was rather better value at 6d, I think maybe 2 cents (US).
