my absolute favorite, from " The Bank Dick", where WC, quite hungover, visits the saloon that he was in the evening before:
    Egbert Sousé:
Was I in here last night and did I spend a twenty dollar bill?

    Joe Guelpe:
    Yeah.

    Egbert Sousé:
Oh boy, what a load that is off my mind! I thought I'd lost it.

"It's A Gift" (1934) & "The Bank Dick" (1940) are my favorites. The later is the first DVD I purchased. The last time I looked, the former was only available in the Collection Vol. 1 pack.
"The Bank Dick" also features, Shemp Howard, the bartender at the Black Pussycat Cafe. Marvelous! :)

Yep!! One of the many great exchanges in that film. My Wife and I watch that movie at least once, sometimes twice a year. And, it's always great!

just watched for the first time 'if I had a million' from 1932, what a great film, even if WC isn't in
it all the way through. a film that's funny and also poignant.
    classic stuff.

so I got about over half way through 'Alice in Wonderland', up to the WC Fields cameo.
pretty rough film for my liking, but it was 1933.
I can see why it flopped, some of the costumes are pretty bad.

Has anybody seen 'W.C. Fields and Me', the movie biography?
I saw it decades ago on VHS, and I really can't remember it. What do you guys think of it?
Seems difficult to find on DVD, but it seems it was released at some stage but long out of print.
You can stream by HD I think, which I don't know anything about.
    Any thoughts on it?

That first scene in the bar where Fields fusses over his shot of booze is just genius. He could make a bit of business out of anything!!!

I'd never actually seen his first silent film before. So young, fit and healthy.
Amazing what time and lifestyle can do.
    From 1915!

I didn't squawk about the steak, dear. I merely said I didn't see that old horse that used to be tethered outside here.

'Never Give A Sucker An Even Break'.
Watched this for the first time in about 20 years!
What a wonderful and quality film of W.C's.
Amazing how talented the man was with all his little hat tricks and
juggling pieces he throws in sparingly.
Featuring the wonderful Margaret Dumont who has become known
    as the 5th Marx Brother.
Gloria Jean plays a great part, just an all round great performance from all.
    Some great 1941 magic.
