  1. May he rest in peace!

I have known about Cozy many years before I joined this forum. The man has played in Rainbow, MSG, Black Sabbath, Whitesnake, ELP... Of course most people living in this world don't know his name (Cozy is not George Clooney), but most of them don't know Tony Iommi or Greg Lake or Ronnie James Dio by name either. However, among people who are seriously interested in hard rock music (which is, obviously, a minority of world population to begin with), Cozy is famous now and was famous 40 years ago. Just my 2 cents on the matter...

Cozy was a tremendous combination of finesse and power and a consummate professional. He wouldn’t have worked with as many people and as successfully otherwise.

His work with Jeff Beck and Rainbow is justifiably praised, and I think his work on Whitesnake’s SLIDE IT IN is fantastic and often overlooked. I guess people think of Tommy Aldridge when they think of the group.

Just listened to Emerson Lake and Powell tonight. He did a great job on that album and all are sorely missed...

Light In The Black, Cozy's and Rainbow's greatest triumph, IMO.

His playing on Brian May's albums, especially "Business" is some of my favorite recorded drumming ever. Those drum sounds!
