The first tracks to go are "You Know My Name (Look Up the Number)" and "Flying", very much the oddball tracks of the selection.

You may be thinking, "The Beatles recorded over 25 songs in 1967, so how could I fit them all into the poll?". To make this work, I have decided to remove four songs from the first two rounds which I'm pretty confident won't be knocked out very early on (Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields Forever, A Day in the Life and Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds), and I'll add them in round 3.

    Knockouts:
Round 1: "You Know My Name (Look Up the Number)", "Flying"

DQ: What is your favourite cover version of one of these songs?

    it's all too much

it's really hard to beat joe cocker's, with a little help from my friends. i like the beatles version well enough, but cocker just turned it into a huge anthem and knocked it out of the park

All Together Now was an easy pick... It is enjoyable and fun but quite lightweight compared to the rest... My other pick was tough, but went with The Fool on the Hill. It's not a bad song by any means but I rate the other ones higher.

    Love, love, love this cover...

Only A Northern Song... is only a good song, compared to the entire crop.

With A Little Help From My Friends... needs some help to stay in the top 20, methinks.

Never liked Baby, Your A Rich Man, Your Mother Should Know, Blue Jay Way and Flying. So I voted BYARM and Blue Jay Way off. Magical Mystery Tour has always been my least favorite Beatles album. Those 4 songs make me always hit skip... :hide:

All Together Now should have been the first song voted off. It's so bad it's not even bubblegum.

All together now is a abysmal stupid toddler song.

'All Together Now' is the worst song the Beatles recorded, so that was easy. And I've never liked 'When I'm 64'.

No particular favourite covers of these songs, but I really like the Triffids' version of 'Good Morning, Good Morning', for me the standout track on Sgt. Pepper Knew My Father:

And for sheer chutzpah, you can't go past Buddy Holly doing 'A Day in the Life':

I'm suprised "It's All Too Much" has as many votes as it does

To me it sounds like the beginnings of "Britpop"

...but "Good Morning Good Morning" ?
    I mean ............sheesh!!

Besides more obvious cover versions like Joe Cocker's ”With a Little Help from My Friends” and Elton John's ”Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds”, here are some others I enjoy:

    Tomorrow: "Strawberry Fields Forever"
    Syreeta: "She's Leaving Home"
Stone the Crows: "The Fool on the Hill"
Spooky Tooth: "I Am the Walrus"
    Journey: "It's All Too Much"

But my favourite is not a song but a whole album:
