Weird noise coming from speakers, help needed (video included)

My speakers are making a weird noise at medium-high volumes (a kind of whooshing noise)? Does anyone have any idea on what might be causing this, it happens on multiple LPs and the noise goes away when you lower the volume...

 

You've got the speakers far TOO CLOSE to a turntable...they shouldn't even be on the same surface!

 

Hi, do you think this is the problem? Sadly this the only space I have at the moment, going back to university soon so hopefully my room will have a bit more space

 

Try putting the speakers on some hockey pucks...it will provide some isolation.

 

Hi everyone, I've now rearranged the room so that the turntable is isolated from the speakers. Hopefully this will help solve the whooshing noise

 

Agree, the speakers are causing a feedback to the TT and it becomes a loop compounding over and over. I bet if you have tuner or cd player it does not happen with them.

 

It's low-level energy coming from the record.
