    Double screw up here !
Another poster (RayS) mentioned the anvil. And it never made it to the roof. Just sat there by Billy.
    Ooops !

listening to the boot of Paul teaching the others the cords of and practicing MSH will answer any
questions as to why the Beatles had to break up. :blah:

It's been a while since I listened to the complete sessions, but I recall a conversation of them deciding what to play and George suggests they play "Can You Dig It" on the rooftop.

No. For You Blue received a January 1970 vocal overdub, but I Me Mine was recorded from scratch.

Wild - my friend Joe Kane (yes that's his real name) is 'Paul' or indeed 'Dirk McQuickly' in Them Beatles. He's a bit of a psyche-pop songwriting genius in his downtime as well: here's a video of one of his many other bands where I did a bit of moonlighting faking playing keyboards:

I can imagine the sides of the Let It Be LP would've been named as Upstairs (Side 1, rooftop gig) and Downstairs (Side 2, Apple Studio performances).^^

I just realized this video in not factually correct as Stig O'Hara didn't sing
    on the rooftop concert.

Cool thread, I always thought it would of been cool if some older material would of been played on the roof. I would think it wouldn't of been too difficult to work up 3-5 older tracks for them, even if they settled on some simple stuff.

I wouldn’t make too much of the cameras on the outside of the Apple front door when the police came. They were filming on the street and the police coming would have been an obvious thing to film.

Granted...but the camera INSIDE filming the knocking at the door? Why would they have a camera ready at the inside of the front door during a filming of a concert on the roof? I get the camera on the street to capture the crowd reaction to the performance. Seems funny that they just happened to have an extra camera crew at the ready simply to film the Avon Lady or whomever else might come knocking that day.

As I said, it would be nice if someone who was there and involved in the filming (MLH, or Glyn Or others) or those who have exhaustively listed to all the tapes (Doug or Ray S.) could share what they may know. All I'm doing is questioning what we see in the film. Is it real or simply filmed to make it appear real?

  25. Exactly. It was an opportunity to do another take in case the footage didn't turn out well or the performance wasn't quite up to snuff.
