I suppose that Peter Tosh (8 days before I was born) and Steve Hackett (4 days before I was born) don't count? :D

The Sweet aged 12. Won the tickets, so doesn't really count.

First gig I paid for was the Bay City Rollers a year later. Screamed myself hoarse!

13 or 14 at a Carl Perkins show to promote "Blue Suede Shoes." He appeared by himself and lip-synced to the record - IIRC he did both sides of the 45 and did "Blue Suede Shoes" twice. That was at White City Amusement Park in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts.

My first concert was at age 16, Prince Parade tour.

Before that I had seen a couple of concerts, but mainly in a festival kind of way and not the type of concerts I think you are refering to.

John Denver in '79 or '80 at Riverfront Coliseum in Cincinnati when I was 5 or 6 with the fam. The first concert I wanted to see and had my Dad take me to was Jethro Tull at Riverbend in Cincy, 1988 on the 20 years of JT tour. Off topic, but it was so much easier to see a bunch of concerts when the tickets hovered around $20. I remember almost not going to Pink Floyd at Ohio Stadium in 1994 because the tickets were, gasp, $45!! Oh the humanity'!!

Cool, Ringo in '89 was my first concert as well, I was thirteen. Ol' Ritchie had a helluva band with him for that tour, even if at that time I didn't know who half those guys were!
