It surprises me that such a lush sound can derive from such simple components: primarily, a piano and Lee's voice; though the strings are positively levitational. Additionally, the lyrics are an achievement in pathos and empathy which speak to a universal emotion that's hard not to relate to if you've lived long enough to see even a narrow slice of adulthood. I am one of `THE CURE`S` biggest fans, and worship at the alter of the rock God that is `ROBERT SMITH`. I have no time for the likes of `ADELE`. But.... her version of `LOVESONG` , with the beautiful guitar had me in tears. "Whatever Words I Say.......I Will Always Love You".
